Our London Docks Walk is a bit different to our other walks in that you have a choice of four itineraries within the subject. You can do a north of the river Docks walk in Wapping and St Katherine’s Dock, or a south of the river walk in Rotherhithe and Surrey Docks, or you can combine the two, either by walking or by taking the underground from Wapping to Surrey Water. If walking, it’s our longest walk but perfectly do-able – we do an abbreviated north of the river docks walk, then head over Tower Bridge (we tell you all about the building of the bridge too), then walk along the river through Shad Thames & Bermondsey, which is full of Dickensian interest (and amazing views of Tower Bridge & central London), and then do an abbreviated south of the river docks walk.
