With my novel Suffragette Autumn Women’s Spring just published, here is a list of my forthcoming talks on Suffragettes. The talk is in several sections. It begins with an overview of the main events in the Suffragette struggle 1903-1914 including demonstrations & processions, Black Friday, the Cat & Mouse Act, arson & destruction and the Suffragette Derby; the second section gives brief details about some of the leading characters such as Emmilene Pankhurst, Christobel Pankhurst, Mr & Mrs Pethick-Lawrence, Lady Constance Lytton and Emily Davison; the third section covers prison and force-feeding, the fourth section tells of how women finally won the vote during the Great War; and we finish with a conclusion about the importance of Mrs Pankhurst.

I do a separate talk on Women in World War One, which includes Sylvia Pankhurst’s work in the East End during that time, and also the gaining of the vote for women.
