leadenhall-market-london-09d6fb28-f654-4c63-ab3c-33ac4e157ea7This walking tour has been devised specifically as a walk that can be done in cold or wet weather because it’s so sheltered. You walk through three interesting, very different markets, two of which are under cover. And if you’re interested in churches, you can pop into a couple of London’s finest en-route. You’ll also be warm and dry as you walk through the grand Royal Exchange, where you can stop for a coffee if you wish. You finish at a museum which not only houses remains of London’s Roman ampitheatre but also beautiful paintings that capture many scenes from London’s history. As a result you’re under cover for 75% of the time. And you’ll also see beautiful old and cutting edge new architecture en route, and see and hear about lots of things from the East End’s and the City’s rich history, from the Guilds to the Hugenots to Lloyds of London to Street Art to great skyscrapers.
