This walk is about the London of exactly 100 years ago. There’s too much to go into detail here but it’s about women, the Home Front, hospitals, war bonds, tank weeks, a ruined French village mocked up in the middle of Westminster, recruitment, the Spanish Flu, women’s football, munitions workers, women doing all the jobs hitherto done by men, the vote, victory, starvation, Children in Need, Charlie Chaplin, propaganda, air raids, the royal family and much more.
