The Old Street, Spitalfields and Shoreditch areas have become London’s capital of street art. There’s a dazzling array of images to see, and the great thing is the art is continually changing. We take you to all the well-known street art spots such as Brick Lane, Hanbury Street, Ely Yard and the Old Nichol area, but also show you some of our favourite spots that are a little off the beaten street art tourist track with work of artists such as Shok 1, Roa, Mo, Senna and Paul Don Smith. We also tell you something of Banksy and show you a piece of his work (literally a piece – somebody has of course stolen part of it!). And being your own private tour, we go at your pace. If certain images leave you cold we keep moving, but when one amazes you we can stop and take it in and take photographs for as long as you wish. And the tour is continually changing of course.

And we walk through an historic part of the East End, so if there’s anything you wish to know about the Old Nichol, A Child of the Jago, Jack the Ripper, the Whitechapel TV series, the Whitechapel Art Gallery, Brick Lane curries, or anything else, just let us know as we go round.

Start Old Street underground station exit 7
