This walks starts with the queen of crime, Agatha Christie. You see a lovely memorial to her and also the scene of her world record. Then it’s on to the Du Mauriers (you hear something shocking about Daphne), George Orwell, Conan Doyle, Dickens, Dorothy L Sayers, the TV series Sherlock and we finish back with Agatha at Hercules Poirot’s pad. You see where writers lived and also where they set scenes in their stories. You see where Holmes lived before he moved to Baker Street; also the scary Ministry of Truth; and where the Artful Dodger recruited Oliver as well as where Bill Sykes used to drink. And it’s not all crime writing. We also see places relating to Iris Murdoch, Mary Wollstonecraft, TS Eliot and JM Barrie.
